Hi, I’m Hamid Ouhaga and the Sahara is not just where I work… it’s who I am.
I was born into a nomadic family in the mountains, just a short distance from the golden dunes of Merzouga. My childhood was shaped by the rhythm of desert life . simplicity, freedom, and a deep connection to nature, people, and tradition.
At the age of 12, I moved closer to the Sahara and began working in tourism. What started as a small step quickly became a lifelong passion. Over the years, I’ve guided travelers from all over the world, sharing with them not just landscapes, but stories, culture, and real human connections.
But I realized something important.
Many visitors come to Morocco… yet very few truly live it.
That’s why I created MERZOUGA ODYSSEY . to offer something deeper, more authentic, and more personal. Not tours, but experiences. Not schedules, but moments.
